Owing to the low specific density of carbon material, the specific contact pressure exerted by the vane can be kept to a low level thus influencing vane life favorably.

The role of E.G.R valve is to flow exhaust gas again into combustion chamber. And E.G.R valve makes a pathway between an inhalation pipe and an exhaust pipe. It is a device to open and close the pathway. As the pathway opens, the exhaust constant pressure discharges. So the exhaust gas flows into the inhalation pipe which makes the combustion condition unstable. The reason of such instability is just to reduce Nitrogen Oxide(NOx) from the exhaust gas. The condition of generation of Nitrogen Oxide(NOx) is just when the combustion temperature gets higher.
E.G.R valve is used for the purpose that blocks the combustion re-circulating the exhaust gas towards the inhalation direction.
