Sea Water Desalination System essentially consists of three major systems : Pre-treatment system, High-pressure Pump and R/O Membrane System. But actual device is also required the Water draining system. Post-treatment and Water change equipment and others as annexed devices.
SINGLE STAGE DESALINIZATION SYSTEM
Rejected concentration water in the first R/O membrane is used original supplying water of second R/O membrane. And this system is a device to mix and use separately produced treatment water in first & second membrane. Salt removal rate is 99.5%. And Sea water which contain about 35,000~36,000mg/l salt penetrate the first membrane using high recovery membrane which can endure pressure 100 atmospheric pressure and then, fresh water produced less than(under) 500mg/l. Membrane capacity is the most important factor because this type have to gain pure water from sea water only through first membrane. The single stage is considerably profitable compare with other devices in economic part.
DOUBLE STAGE DESALINIZATION SYSTEM
This is process to obtain final treatment water that was penetrated again in other system from the type of single stage system produced treatment water in R/O membrane. First, we make the sea water transmit at previous stage and produce treatment water that has 3000~4500mg/l salt concentration. And then, we get under 500mg/l fresh water by after process. The salt removal rate of R/O membrane is suitable for 90~95% and need 70~80 pressure. Double stage system has more benefits which can get good quality treatment- water that has very low salt concentration than single stage system. But device cost and maintain of the management expense are big disadvantage. So, you need selective plan depending on the purpose of the device use.
